“The expansion of domestic tourism: Due to the restrictive measures of the pandemic, domestic tourism has become prevalent in many parts of the world and thus inspired destinations to adapt their offer to domestic tourists and increase their loyalty in order to shift the focus from short-term to long-term tourism benefits.
However, previous research has mainly focused on describing the consequences of the pandemic, and this lecture will also explain how Evolutionary Psychology can be linked to tourism changes in the future. Finally, some positive examples of cooperation between local tourism providers will be presented.”
